Hypothyroidism - Symptoms and Causes
Caused by a drop in production of the hormones T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (thyroxine) by the thyroid, hypothyroidism can cause fatigue, weight gain, cold intolerance, dry skin, hair loss, increased cholesterol levels and flow menstrual; infertility and depression. These symptoms are not always all present, which makes it necessary to search for thyroid dysfunction before any of them.
